Petitions

This page provides you with information on active petitions related to the Murray electorate.

Petition for bulk billing cancer treatment for Griffith and Wagga Wagga patients

Residents of Griffith, Wagga Wagga and surrounding regions face significant out of pocket expenses for local lifesaving radiotherapy services. These expenses are causing significant financial burdens on families in our communities.

We are calling on the community to have the NSW Government fund this much needed service in our local rural communities.

This is a paper petition (not online), so you must print a copy and sign. Please try and get as many signatures as you can but remember only NSW residents can sign.

Our aim it to collect 10,000 signatures to force NSW Government to debate this issue in Parliament.

Petition for mental health units in our hospitals

The Murrumbidgee region has a suicide rate almost three times as high as Sydney.

But we have the far fewer mental health services.

No hospital in my Murray electorate has an in-patient mental health unit.

This is completely unacceptable. It's very difficult for people to travel several hours to Wagga or Sydney for treatment away for their family.

Goolgowi resident Marie Clarke, my choice for Local Woman of the Year, has devised a petition to urge the NSW Government to build mental health units in our hospitals.

This is a paper petition (not an online one), so you'll need to print out a copy and obtain signatures.

When you do so, please try and get signatures to fill up the page (or a few pages). All NSW residents can sign.

Once you do so, please contact my office on (02) 6962 6644 to organise how we can pick it up for you.

If we get 10,000 signatures, we will force the NSW Government to debate it in Parliament.

This will bring the issue national attention and force the government to act.

Petition for better regional healthcare

Hospitals across the Murrumbidgee are in crisis.

Leeton, Hillston, Hay, Wentworth and Tocumwal hospitals do not have an onsite doctor.

Many hospitals are struggling to attract nurses, due to the NSW Government offering poor pay and conditions.

Please print out and sign this petition to force the NSW Government to address these concerns.

This is a paper petition - so it would be great if you could get this out to shops, businesses etc where people can sign.

Once you have filled up a page, return it to my office.
