MND SURVEILLANCE CENTRE
I have been fighting for years to get answers on the shockingly high rates of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in our region. Now, with the establishment of the new MND Surveillance Centre in Wagga, we are finally one step closer to uncovering the truth.
This issue has been deeply concerning for our communities, particularly in Griffith and Wagga Wagga, where MND rates are up to seven times higher than the national average. For too long, the link between blue-green algae and this devastating disease has been ignored.
This research is a crucial step forward, but I won’t stop fighting until we get real answers, real action, and real solutions for this issue.
