AUDITOR GENERAL REPORT FAIL

The Auditor General’s report on Tanya Plibersek’s water buybacks may seem positive on the surface, but if you look deeper, it is a brutal reality check for the water minister. She’s nailed the paperwork, but the report lays bare her total failure to connect the dots—grabbing more water while rural communities get crushed, and the Murray Darling Basin’s environment sees no real wins.

Plibersek is happy to take another 100 GL out of our already struggling community, but is too scared to actually come out to the regions she is draining the lifeblood out of.

The government must address the real environmental issues like the fact that 90% of biomass in our rivers is carp, instead of persisting with these destructive policies.
